DOULA
SUPPORT

Birth doula support for women and families who want to arrive at birth rooted in their own clarity, confidence, and trust.

Informed, prepared, and rooted in your own power - from beginning to end.

You might have been thinking about this for a while. Wondering whether you really need a doula. Whether the support your midwife or obstetrician provides is enough - or whether there is something else you have been quietly longing for.

A doula is not someone who takes over. She is not the source of your strength in birth - you already carry that. What she brings is the knowledge, the presence, and the steady companionship that helps you find your way back to it. She helps you understand your options so that when the moment comes, you trust yourself to navigate them. She asks the questions you haven't yet found words for. She prepares you so thoroughly that when labour begins, you are not bracing against it - you are moving through it, from a place of deep inner knowing.

That is what I am here to offer you.

Full-Spectrum Doula Care

This is continuous, personalised doula support built entirely around you and your family. It begins in pregnancy - learning your story, your fears, your vision - and deepens over time into a relationship of genuine trust. By the time labour begins, you will not be wondering what to do. You will already know.

Your support package may include:

  • Two to three prenatal sessions, exploring your birth vision, values, and preparation in depth

  • Integration with your prenatal yoga practice for genuine continuity of care

  • Evidence-based birth education tailored to your specific goals, circumstances, and care model

  • Continuous on-call support as your due date approaches - so that when labour begins, I am reachable immediately

  • In-person labour and birth support, at home or in hospital, for the full duration of your birth

  • Immediate postpartum presence - including support and birth photography in those irreplaceable first hours

  • Postpartum follow-up and a full birth story debrief and integration session

Every package is built around your individual needs. We will design it together in our discovery call.

  • “I was fortunate enough to have Sarah support me through two amazing home births. With her guidance, I was able to birth my second baby at home before the midwives arrived - a complete contrast to my first; an induction in hospital. Sarah helped me feel empowered, confident, and in control, as we navigated hospital policy hurdles along the way. If you want a positive birth and an advocate who keeps you in the driver’s seat, Sarah is your woman!”

    Mel - Repeat Client

  • “As a solo mama, I am eternally thankful for having Sarah as my doula. She kept me well-informed and brought a soft energy and feminine wisdom that empowered me to trust my choices and my body during labour - resulting in the home birth I had dreamed of.”

    Jordan - Single Mum

  • “Sarah supported my partner and me through the most amazing birth. Without her and the prenatal yoga, I doubt I would have achieved my goal - 43 weeks and an intervention-free birth in the public system. I went from a very traumatic first experience to being on an absolute high for my second. Truly life-changing.”

    Amy - Second Baby

  • “YogiMama is a teammate you’ll be forever grateful to have. Sarah is full of incredible information and access to holistic resources. As a doula, she is a soothing, perfectly centred presence who tailors her approach to suit you individually. Her passion for physiological birth shines brightly and is so empowering. I achieved a physiological VBAC in hospital that would not have been possible without Sarah by my side.”

FOR THE MOTHER YOU ARE BECOMING

Whatever has brought you to this page - you are in the middle of something that will change you. Perhaps you are preparing for the birth of your baby. Feeling the weight of how close it is getting. Wanting to arrive at that threshold feeling genuinely ready - informed, supported, and deeply trusting of yourself and your body.

Or perhaps you are navigating something far more painful. A diagnosis, a loss, a decision no parent should ever have to face. Carrying a grief that is enormous and complex and not always easy to put into words.

Both of these journeys deserve to be held with complete care. Both of them matter here. Whatever you are moving through, my role is the same - to walk beside you with genuine presence, grounded guidance, and unwavering belief in your capacity to move through this. To make sure that whatever this season asks of you, you do not face it alone.

You deserve to feel safe, heard, and genuinely supported - in birth, and in loss, and in everything in between.

I am here for all of it.

The Woman Behind YogiMama

I am Sarah - a prenatal yoga teacher, birth doula, and educator based in Newcastle. For the past eight years, supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and their transition to motherhood has been both my vocation and my deepest privilege.

In that time I have attended more than 150 births - at home, in hospital, in birth centres, in circumstances that were planned and ones that were anything but. I have seen how quickly fear can close a body down - but also how genuine safety can open it back up. And that the quality of support a woman receives in the lead-up to the birth is almost always the thing that determines how she feels on the other side of it.

That understanding shapes every aspect of the care I offer - from the very first conversation through to your postpartum follow-up. I bring calm presence, practical knowledge, and genuine belief in every woman's innate capacity to birth.

WHEN YOU ARE READY, I AM HERE.

LET’S TALK

No pressure, no obligation, and no expectation of where it leads. Just an honest, unhurried talk about where you are, what you are carrying, and how I might be able to support you through it.
