THE YOGIMAMA WAY

Birth has the capacity to shape how you see yourself for years to come.

Not just as a mother - but as a woman who met herself at the threshold of something immense, and found she was capable of more than she knew.

Most women are offered information. A hospital tour, an antenatal class, a birth plan template. And while all of that has its place, information alone does not prepare a body for birth. It does not address the fear that lives quietly beneath the practical questions. It does not build the embodied confidence that comes from genuinely understanding your body and what it is capable of. It does not create the kind of trust - in yourself, in the process, in the people around you - that carries you through when things don't go to plan.

That is the gap YogiMama was built to fill.

Through movement, education, community, and genuine presence, we create a space where you can feel informed, prepared, and deeply reconnected - to your body, your baby, and the instincts you already carry.

Embodied Birth Preparation for Couples

Thursdays 5:30–7pm · Four-Week Series · Charlestown, Newcastle

A four-week evening series designed to help you and your partner prepare for birth with confidence, clarity, and genuine connection.

Drawing on Sarah's experience supporting more than 150 births, this course offers something you won't find in a standard antenatal class — a calm, embodied, evidence-informed experience that prepares you not just intellectually, but in your body, your breath, and your relationship with each other.

Especially valuable for couples who want to feel truly prepared, whether or not you have a doula on your team.

Meet Your Yogi Doula

Hi, I'm Sarah. A prenatal yoga teacher, birth doula, and educator - devoted to supporting women and families through one of life's most profound thresholds.

Over eight years and more than 150 births, I've learned that what women need most isn't more information. It's a space where they can return to what they already know - and learn to trust it completely.

I bring together the embodied wisdom of yoga, the practical knowledge of an experienced doula, and the genuine presence of someone who has stood beside women at every kind of birth - at home, in hospital, in circumstances that were planned and ones that were anything but. What I know, from 150 births, is that the women who arrive most ready are the ones who were most genuinely supported in their preparation.

That is what I am here to create for you.

  • “Sarah guided us beautifully through our second birth - and the safe arrival of our 4.6kg baby at home. In the weeks beforehand she helped us map a birth plan that prioritised our values - we felt seen and heard, and she helped us dispel any fears. Her availability throughout pregnancy was pivotal to my confidence going into labour. On the day, she was a nurturing, maternal presence that allowed me to feel both empowered and deeply calm, as she guided my husband to support me beautifully.”

    Anna - Second Baby

  • Sarah walked alongside me for my entire pregnancy journey. She supported me to trust in the absence of fear - building my birth knowledge, gently guiding me to my vision, and holding me through the most intense parts of labour. She walked me right up to the ‘birth veil’ and encouraged me to move through it with confidence. Sarah, thank you for gifting my husband, our beautiful baby boy, and me the experience of a lifetime.”

    Greta - First Baby

  • “I was searching for someone relaxed, intuitive, nurturing, and confident in the birth arena. Sarah has so much experience and embodies all of these qualities. She supported me throughout the pregnancy, with weekly prenatal yoga that helped immensely to prepare my body and mind for birth. I’m now pregnant again, and after seeing two lines and telling my husband, Sarah was our next call!”

    Ally - Repeat Client

  • “After a difficult first birth, we knew we needed a doula for our second - and Sarah was phenomenal. She supported us to have a beautiful home birth, the most gentle way to bring our little one into the world. In labour, she was a calm presence who guided and reassured us: keeping me hydrated, moving, comfortable with massage, and supported through position changes. We wouldn’t want to do it without her.”

    Lauren - Second Baby
