PREGNANCY
CIRCLES

A gathering space where you can slow down, be held, and reflect on the season you are in.

when A baby is born,
So is a mother.

Every birth is two beginnings. There is a word for what you are moving through - matrescence. The transformation of becoming a mother. Like adolescence, it reshapes you at every level - physically, mentally, emotionally, and in how you understand yourself and your place in the world. It is one of the most significant transitions a woman will ever make, and it deserves to be honoured as such.

These circles exist to do exactly that - to create a genuine space where the season you are in is named, witnessed, and celebrated with reverence. When we gather in circle, we are all equal and available to lovingly witness whatever arises. In circle, we can share our hearts, speak our minds, and develop a deeper relationship with ourselves.

FIND YOUR COMMUNITY

Seasonal Gatherings
2 hour | Women’s Circle

Four times a year, at the turning of each season, we gather. The circles are small by design - intimate enough that genuine connection is possible, held by two experienced doulas who create a space where honesty, vulnerability, and real conversation are not just welcome but encouraged.

Hosted by: Sarah Newling and Joanne Mackintosh.

Each gathering moves gently through:

  • Seasonal reflection - exploring the themes of the season through the lens of Ayurveda as they relate to pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

  • Matrescence - the profound identity shift of becoming a mother, held with honesty, ritual, and without simplification.

  • Intention setting - creating space to name what you are moving toward and what you are ready to release.

  • Genuine connection - with the women beside you, many of whom will become part of your village once baby is born.

  • Nourishing refreshments - to reflect the season, following Ayurvedic principles.

Investment: $40 per circle

You will leave feeling seen, steady, and more connected - to yourself, to your baby, and to the women who walk beside you.

  • “Sarah has a gift for bringing women together and building community in a safe, held space - whether through her yoga classes, pregnancy circles, mums and bubs yoga, or carefully curated mothers’ groups. What makes it so special is the deeply woven continuity of care; connecting like-hearted women through the same beautiful season of life. Sarah walks alongside you from the very beginning, and the community she cultivates grows with you.”

  • “I recently attended a caesarean circle hosted by Sarah and Joanne. To create such a calming, safe, and supportive space - and an opportunity to find community in what can otherwise feel like a difficult and lonely time - is testament to these wonderful women. I found great comfort in their presence and in the other women there. I would highly recommend this offering for any caesarean mothers who are grieving their birth and struggling to find their way through.”

    Tania

  • “I recently took part in a caesarean circle and it was a truly restorative and healing experience. I deeply appreciated the connection with the other women and the opportunity to share our stories in such a safe and supportive space.”

For the mother you are becoming.

You are in the middle of one of the most significant transformations in life. And you deserve to move through it standing alongside women who genuinely understand that - not just as a concept, but from the inside of it.

What we have watched happen in these circles, season after season, is something we never tire of witnessing. Women seeking connection. Conversations in community. Friendships that form from honesty, and build through pregnancy and the unfolding of early motherhood.

That is the gift of genuine community. And it is what we set out to facilitate every time we open the doors.

We would love to welcome you into it.
